Default one of those nights

i just have to vent a bit right now.

i am just having one of those nights where none of my premium hands hold up, primarily when i get sucked out on the river. flopping a set, getting runner runner to a 4 flush board, having all my big pocket pairs get run down, not seeing any of my draws get there, etc.

dont mean to bitch about it, but i just had to let of some steam.

how are others nights going? anyone playing the party bad beat tables right now? jackpot is over 600k, which is just ridiculous.

You don't wanna ask.

I won $600 playing 3/6 short on Stars today/tonight. Lou had to hear about it on AIM while his AA was getting rivered by KK on the bubble.

Meanwhile, I'm hitting quad aces, gutshots, trips on the turn, etc. AK hits every flop. Loving it.

But, I can make you feel better. I ended September playing 5/10 and did pretty well. First week of October I dropped 250BBs at 5/10. Yep, that's right $2500. I've spent the rest of the month getting it back. A steady run at 3/6 (1.92bb/100 over my last 20k) plus bonuses and rakeback have got me back to -800 for the month.

glad to hear that you are having a good night. i wouldnt want some of the beats that are happening to me to happen to anyone right now. not that they are that improbable, it is just the volume of them.

keep it going.

That's a real tough run.... just goes to show how important playing within your bankroll is. If your roll was only 100 or 200 BBs, you'd be busted.

Thanks for sharing. Glad to hear things have turned around.

This "mutha"fucker...

We were talking about my luck during the conversation. He LOVES being lucky .. the only luck I have is bad luck. Shabi gives me periodic updates during the big hands... and his "bottom line" on the night just kept increasing.

Meanwhile, I was playing a 3-Table $10/1 SnG. I couldn't get a hand. I was at 9% flops seen (for the entire tournament!), but I still found myself on the bubble with an average stack... 5th pays something shitty, like $22, but first is $100, and I was looking to parlay that into a bigger MTT this weekend. LOL... Keep in mind Shabi and I are talking about how extremely unlucky I am.

I get AA.

UTG raises 3x, I make it 6x. Folded to him, who calls. Rag flop, J high. He checks, I bet half pot, he pushes (having me covered by 100 chips), and I call.

He flips KK.

Take a guess at one of the two river cards that helped him. :-D

NOW, I have to go to a seminar at the Radisson, against my free will. Don't become a lawyer.

You both have railed me enough to know you don't want to compare "luck" with me.

I think my all time favorite was when I had QQ and the flop came Q66 and I literally said to Lou, "I wonder how I'll lose this one." The turn was a 6, of course, as was the river, and A3o took it down.

That's just impressive right there.

I wouldn't really compare these two hands. He had 3 clean outs (A) PLUS running 6s PLUS what happened...

I'm not trying to argue bad luck or anything - just saying I can feel for people who are running bad or take a lot of sick beats.

I just flopped a big blind special boat with 85. Flop 885. Asshole ends up getting an A on the turn to make a bigger boat. That sucked and it just happened. I felt it was relevant to this thread, heh.
