WCOOP #7 - Barry Greenstein still alive
I was keeping an eye on Scott Fischman's table while I was playing earlier today, and was wondering why Stars Support was giving it such special treatment (they had at least one person chatting there - in red). That's when I figured out Barry Greenstein was at the table. Well "crazyplayer" is still in it. They are down to 22. He's supposed to do the audio webcast of the final table tonight. I think it would be pretty great if he couldn't because he's still in it.
All the money he wins is going to charity, as per his usual, of course. From the Poker Stars Blog: BREAKING NEWS: Barry Greenstein hits PokerStars Radio The Robin Hood of poker is at it again. Poker pro Barry Greenstein will host PokerStars Radio tonight for the final table of WCOOP Event #7. to listen when the tournament gets down to the final table. As it happens, Greenstein is actually playing in Event #7 today under his screen name crazyplayer. In true Greenstein fashion, he plans to donate any winnings tonight to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. In the continuing effort to help the ravaged Gulf Coast, PokerStars will match any contribution Greenstein makes with his winnings. Click on "Tourney" then "WCOOP" then "Event #7" to watch the action. |

I saw him call all in with 55 earlier and beat AQ. He commented that it was the first race of 4 that he's won.... I can't verify that part, obviously.

ive been watching on and off for a couple of hours and OMG hgave i seen some bad beats, i mean we all get them, but when they cost you the difference between $2k and $5k i would be a little more pissed than normal!
For example. AA vs KQ, KQ rivers a Q to make trips and knock some1 out! |

Barry's crippled now. Tried to steal on the button with K10. SB reraised all in with A4. Barry never improves and sits in last place now. Even if he doubles up...he's still going to be in last place...lol

How funny that he busted out 16th, when for hours and hours, Poker Stars has been saying HE would be participating in their live broadcast when the tourney get down to 15 players?
Spooky. |

$160?
Do you mean $148,000 if he won? Either way, of course they could afford it. That kind of money is chump change to Poker Stars. |

jesus!
they waited till the last 3 to make a deal.
Then then 2nd place player loses an all in to the small stack, then the small stack rivers him to take him out! wow, ill bet the small stack was gutted he made the deal! P.S the small stack gets a premium obviously, but he only asked for $3k a piece, and they nearly said NO! |

I just stopped by Barry's table and had a little chat with him...
Me: Well done yesterday, Barry. Him: could have played better Me: 16th is impressive. Big field. Him: had enough luck to get to the final table. made about four bad decisions. He later mentioned to someone else that his "miscounted" a bet or something? Thinking someone only had 200 more? I'm not really sure what that means, since there are no chip stacks in front of people, and the bet amount you need to call is written numerically too. Maybe he assumed someone's goofy bet (197, for example) was an all in bet, when it really wasn't and he called with the 24 from the BB. Just a guess. I've made that mistake before. |
