Guess The Cards
This hand is from our four-handed $0.1/$0.20NL home game. Most players have about $25 to $30. The BB is a pro cash game player online, who is of course loose and hyper-aggressive. I'm in the SB.
UTG folds, button folds, I raise to $.80, BB calls (pot: $1.60). Flop: 9s - Ts - 9c I check, BB bets $1.50, I check-raise to $4, BB calls (pot: $9.60). Turn: 6d I check, BB checks (pot: $9.60) River: Ac I check, BB bets $12, after thinking for two minutes I call (pot: $33.60) Any guesses? |

Him 78s, in my experience good players bet large on the river for value while fish do so as a bluff him being a pro probably a big hand |

I too think you had AT, but I can't figure out why you didn't lead out on the turn.......
As for his cards, it would help to know yours, but again I like chad's guess here of 78. For kicks though, I'll say he had AsJs. So hopefully you had AT and not TJ or sometihng like that. |

He has Qs Jc.
I flip up Js 6s for bottom pair. It's good! His check on the turn = completely drawing (he's not giving me free cards on that coordinated board!) or an absolute monster (9T). I think the river bet is an overbet for a monster. |

Wow.... um.... didn't see that coming, that's for sure. Maybe this would have been easier if we had some physical ready (timing, at the least).
J6, huh? And then check raising the flop with your flush draw? I guess that's reasonable, but I certainly wouldn't have out you on that hand if I was him. For what it's worth, I actually think his play here was pretty good from beginning to end. I'm not so sure about yours though But good call on the end! You read your man and made the right call. |
