Default The RIGHT thing

So, I'm playing a Heads Up tournament on Stars, this guy is beating me, i have 1200, he has 1800, When he disconnects. I start pressign the buttons and winning the blinds, the whole time wondering what to do.
Thinking i'll of course win as much as i can now, but will i send him his buy in back ?
He was winning, but whos to say i wouldnt have come back and won.
Also, I've had this happen to me b4 where i was person who disconnected. And i know for a fact i got no $ back.

Anyway, he came back after about 2 mins and then i had about 2000, he had 1000.
I ended up winning.

What would you guys do ?
I talked to hi about it, he said he himself would have been pushing those buttons as fast as he can, i still feel bad tho. What to do?

I would probably click as fast as I can if it was against someone I didn't know at all. I figure people would do the same to me. And besides...you might have held a strong hand that would have doubled you up if he was there anyways.

Having said that, usually I wouldn't enter tourneys that cost that much...maybe 20 bucks at most....so win or lose it's no big deal. If I didn't really care, then I would probably play really slow for 5 minutes. If he didn't come back in that amount of time....I'll click away after that.

Click like the dickens. Seriously, is there any other question?

The only time I would do anything to the contrary was if I happened to be playing a friend.

This happens all the time at EarthPoker (Now BannerPoker.....sketchy.....) where the window doesn't actually "pop" up when the tourney begins if you are on another section of the site. Feel kind of bad when someone comes in after 2 minutes with only 500 chips left....BUT, oh well....

I agree, if it was a friend I would even the chips back out (as was done for ChipFish in the TPF tourney) to where they were. Other than that, tough luck....

Funny story related to this post

I was in a tourny down to two people left. Players had been knocked out early though, so the blinds weren't ridiculous. We had had close to even chip stacks when he disconnected. I started stealing blinds etc, and when he came back, I was at a huge advantage and he had about 5-6 BBs left.

Hes said something to the effect of "wow you work quick huh" or something. Im like ok we can make it even again. I have 7 3, what do you have, hes like oh good A10 (or something like that) "So go all in" Im like ok you said it, all in , all in.....the 7 3 ends up winning (idiot!) then he proceeds to go ape shit ni the chat box, Im laughing too hard to even listen
