Default Who's playing right now?

and how are you doing?

I'm playing at UB right now. 3/6 short. Got two tables up. One is decent, one is gold.

Up 21 BBs right now in roughly 120 hands. Unfortunately, that goes quicker than it came in this game. SOMETIMES

So, how you doin?

just finished a three hour night at UB at 1-2 LHE. Great table all night. Several of the worst players I've ever seen.

Still, managed to be stuck most of the night. Pocket TT four times in one hour. Got creamed three times and took down a small pot the last one. After that I was down >$50 and trying to dig out.

But it just took patience. They just wanted to pay you off. Eventually wound up a tinybit ahead.

I'm starting to like UB. Wasn't so sure the first couple of sessions, but lately have been finding at least one or two ATM's at every table.

Yeah,

It's been my site of choice the last couple weeks.

I've had a great day.

Needed it after starting the month on a 120BB Downswing. Suck. Still climbing out.

I have yet to play a single hand of (online) poker this month.

I'm at an interesting crossroad. Thanks to my WSOP cash, I've got some flexibility... Do I stick to what I've been playing? Do I play more big buy in tourneys? Do I dedicate a few thousand to taking a shot at $15/30 and seeing how that goes?

These are rhetorical questions, but I'd also like some input... so I guess they aren't rhetorical after all.

Well, I don't mean huge.... I just mean MORE of the ones I was already playing in now and then. $100, $200, etc. Yes, online. I already plan to step up my live game play a bit, but that's separate.

Did you realize I have more Player of the Year points than Phil Hellmuth? You've GOTTA love that.

I'm with shabi, since you're a well qualified limt player, why not jump up to the 15/30. You'd probably have no problem at all treading water there when you start out, and then eventually(if not quickly) be able to consistently pull a profit there. Big tourneys would seem to be possibly to shaky starting out, so I'd avoid those.

But you obviously know all of this yourself. It'll be interesting to see what you choose(unless it's to stay at the same limits).
It'd be great if you post here or in the railbird section when you give either of these a try, as very few or maybe none of us have any experience way up there.

Bankroll management is a very personal decision that should be made depending on your goals. I'm sure your goals are very different than mine, and at least a little different than everyone else here. With that said, If I were in your shoes I would put a chunk of the winnings aside to be used for next year's WSOP, be it satellites to the ME, or just buy-ins for some lower events.

What a lucky crossroad you see yourself at.

I'm taking a break, so I'm able to give my opinions...

I would suggest playing more live tournaments. Entries ranging from $50-$500 seem good for you, with an occasional $1000 entry tournament thrown in the mix. (Borgata / Taj event in the near future, etc.) Maybe you'll do well (which will lead you to more crossroads!) or maybe you won't. Either way, you'll be able to sufficiently gauge how you do in the "live tournament" scene, and, more important, see how you like this "genre" of poker.

While doing that, I would couple $6000 of your winnings with your already-existing bankroll and being playing $10/20 full. Get used to the bets and "levels" of players playing full, and then move to 6-max. Back in your "preferred game," see whether you can grind your way up to the next level.

As far as the rest of your winnings ... Pay Per Post: retroactive from January 1st.

Let us know what you decide on doing.
