Default Is Party wrong here?

I think so. They have cancelled the Step Higher games because too many people complained they couldn't get action on a step 4 or 5 game (anyone see the irony that a ton of people complained yet there weren't enough people to get a game going ). Anyway if you had a "step higher" step 5 entry they refunded you the buyin of 15K instead which is pretty good, but if you had a step 3 or 4 freeroll in your account you got $10?!?!? What's that about? I know you could never cash these seats out so they represent fictional value until you win your way to the money or bust out, but I think step 3 in those was like $525 so $10 seems pretty thin I think.

This is really odd...since the buy in for higher steps is:

Step 5: $5000+300.
Step 4: $2000+150
Step 3: $500+35
Step 2: $100+10
Step 1: $30+3

If they paid Step 5 players $15000, Those players actually almost tripled their stakes (-300). While steps 3 and 4 players basically lost their entire stakes.

I don't know how they come up with this math...but I don't see why they don't just give everyone back their own stake.

Something isn't right in the above two posts. It can't be.

Where are you guys getting this information - especially you, Penguin, since your info seems most likely to be wrong.

Another forum I post at has two members involved it this mess. One guy had a step 5 buy-in refunded for the full amount, another guy had a step 3 buy in and was given $10. I suppose it is possible one of them is not posting accurate information, if I find that to be the case I will update you.

Default Hold that bullshit

They are still running, but have been revamped. The original "step higher" games, as well as the buy-ins anyone may have won are no longer there. What anyone actually got paid is what I was wondering. Really none of my business, it just doesn't seem like Party to screw anyone that hard. Their customer service is slow as balls, but usually very fair.
