Limit HE ?
I personally do not playing Limit HE but I have a question about it. I know alot of people are successful players at it I was wondering if u have the nuts... is there anyway to prevent someone from drawing to the nuts? Because when I was playing it, I always seemed to flop a set here and there and always have a flush/straight draw call me down to the river. since it was 1/2 its only another $1 or $2 to see a card for them. Anyways is there anyway to get around this or is this how it is with limit?

you just have to keep playing solid poker. there are many times that people are going to call you with long shot draws, and yes, sometimes they will hit them. but remember that in the long run they will be giving you money. you want people to chase their inside straights against your set, etc.
just hang in there. solid play will be rewarded, and when you get a hand really punish the draws. |

It's called betting, if the flop is 8,9,10 and you have 99 you'll probably lose if there is a bunch of people in the pot. Ppl will always try to call you down in lower limits, the only thing you can do is show them the best hand. Play solid cards and don't worry about suckouts. Cause everytime a fish hits he'll pay out 5 times more.

Move up limits? I've only played up to 2/4 so maybe someone who plays higher could tell me if this also happens at higher levels?
But to answer your question, no, not at 1/2 |

Everyone plays the odds. You can't bet draws out, you can only make them pay. Hopefully in the long run, you win out.

im not sure if this is always the case. at higher limits, sure, everyone knows the odds and for the most part they play them. but at the low limits i think that people get married to their draws and have trouble dumping them. this is clearly to your advantage, and in the long run you will make a lot of money off of these chasers.

At any limit, you can use position to isolate certain players.
You can also pull out all the moves depending on the play of the hand to isolate the field and try and get the hand down to heads-up. CF |

In low limit you can tell your man and show him you have him beat and he'll still try to chase you down, this easies up a bit at the higher levels 10/20 and up imo
