So did Brian move up limits before or after 9:00 PM?
I've got 50 bucks that says he'll be at the 50 NL table by weeks end. |

He was at the $25 No-limit tables around 10pm... Although I have no idea if he was there more or less than an hour.

hmmmm
stopped playing for awhile my son has an infection in his blood, they say it got there through his central line which I have no idea how that happen since we where very very very careful when we changed dressing. So putting poker on hold until he gets out of hospitol. Going to AC with friend next month so that might be next time I play. |

Just because someone wins $600 doesn't mean their bankroll has to be $600. They could certainly spend $500 of it on themselves and the family and keep their bankroll at $100.
Do you really think Greg Raymer's poker bankroll is $5 million (well, whatever it came to after taxes)? I'm guessing it's not. I'm guessing he invested most of it and keeps a couple hundred thousand for his bankroll. Pros who play for a living are constantly dipping into their bankrolls to pay bills, etc... There is no reason Brian couldn't/shouldn't do the exact same thing and play for fun. |

Look who we're dealing with.
"Most of it" isn't even his, that is, after he paid out to all of his backers. Look who we're dealing with.

yes
and thats exactly what I want, dont have any reason to ever play higher then 2/4. Dont want to make a living off doing this, just want to have fun doing something I love to do. Dont see me ever sitting at a table with TP playing some 5/10. I would love one day to have a $1,000 bankroll and every $500 take out and spend it on bills, dinner, the kids or whatever. Thats my goal and Im sticking to it. As for who we are dealing with yes I blew up last month and wasted alot of money but give me a break. |

Well, then don't listen to Aeq or anyone else who tells you to move up. Problem solved.

LOL.
Listen. When I originally read his post, I was thinking to myself... if someone has $600 and is still sitting at 5c/10c, they'd be stupid not to move up. Why? Because there's much more money to be made. I forgot it was Brian talking. If he really wants my advice, I would say withdrawal your money, spend whatever you have of it on your family, concentrate on THAT part of your life, and stick to freeroll tournaments every now and then.

He'll move up eventually to limits he's not built for... Hell, he said he was sticking to .05/.10 until he had his 600 bankroll and he didn't even last the night!

yikes
You all giving me a headace,
The highest I will ever play will be 2/4, why? because im in no way good enough to beat any level above that. I like 2/4 and I'am very comfortable at it, now I will never have $1200 to deposit to play 2/4 so I will always have to build up to that level. Which is good since I still have tons of holes in my game like swiss cheese. My family is well taken care of, just because I play poker dosen't mean im neglecting my family. I take off a couple days a week to take care of Gavin and give my wife a break, this I easily make up for income with the overtime which I can easily get anytime I want it. I have enough senority at my job that I can tell them when I want to work and they give it to me. True that $2,000 I blew could of helped and I have no excuse for what I did. Hey we all make mistakes. |
