Default Here's how my Party Reload went...

This is just one fine example, albeit probably the finest.

Please note the worst play of my life here, on the river, when I RAISED while playing the board! How could anyone be so stupid, you ask? Well, because as soon as I saw this flop, I fully expected to lose the hand (like everything else that night) and was wondering how I would manage to lose this one. I was already on the verge of tilt and when that 6 hit on the turn (basically taking away one of my Queens), I was definitely fuming. I was hitting the autoplay buttons as fast as possible, really trying to force bets into the pot. If you don't know what I'm talking about here, good.... I don't get like this much, and I hate when I do. Anyway, when the river card came, he bet instantly, and I had already hit raise before I even looked at the board. This is NOT smart poker!

I quit not long after this, since clearly, the ridiculous run of cards was affecting my play. It cost me $20 here alone - 10% of that stupid bonus. The call on the river when I knew he had an Ace, btw, was more for my own personal satisfaction of seeing the garbage he called me down with than actually thinking there was even a chance we'd be splitting the pot.

There is a lesson to be learned here about playing on tilt. Learn it.

Take your pick: Sucking out. Annoying me. Putting me on tilt. Chasing his miracle.

The players at 5/10 are just as bad as the ones at .50/1.

I remember that happening on the WPT last season. I forget who was at the final table but it was heads up action.

Chip leader is dealt KK and his opponent is deat A6. Flop comes 7,K,7 and the turn comes a 7 and the river another 7. His KK now becomes just one K and his opponent who stuck it out wins the pot with Quad 7's and A kicker.

We were talking on AIM during that hand ... you were taking beat after beat, then THAT happened. Sorry, but I was laughing - I couldn't believe it. That shit just doesn't happen. Well, I guess it does.

Get out of that slump yet?

Well, it's official. I lost $15 Cdn. from a +$6 profit on Party during the reload period. Damn that sucks, stupid fluctuating dollar.

I haven't playued much since... not a hand of limit. NL has been going well.

And yeah, I remember writing: "Ok, I just flopped Qs full with QQ and a flop of Q66. I wonder how I'll lose this one."

YOU probably thought I was exaggerating. Shows what you know.

Default 2nd bad beat bitch, sorta!!

Check out this run of cards. None skipped, this is 40 hands in a row.

When you get bad cards, just don't play. You'll be forced to pay the blinds, but if that's the worst of it, then you should be happy. This is a good reason for multitabling: sitting at one table while you keep looking at bad cards might force you at actually play those bad cards.

Multitabling keeps me disciplined. Keep in mind that the bad run will eventually end.

I'm right there with you TP, this weekend has been a medley of bad beats and some tilt on my part. Actually got RAISED by some chump at Party who had 2nd pair to my kings (holding AK), and lo and behold, the turn gave him 2 pair. Tonight has been better though, just had my 109s on blinds meet a 10-10-10 flop, and three other people betting most of the way.

Funny. In my brain, I thought an Ace would give him 666AA to beat my 666QQ, but you're right.... I still had QQQ66. Sonofa! Now I'm getting mad all over again!

He needed a turn river of AA or 66.

OUCH! I just did the math - I was a 99.6% favorite after the flop. That may be the worst beat I have ever taken.

I remember you got beat by straight flush holding quads. Was the flush a one card flush, and he runner runnered you? would that be worse?

That wasn't me, I don't think. That happened to a friend of mine, and I'm pretty sure it was just a single card gutshot. I've also seen the ultimate "perfect-perfect" beat, where 99 beat 55 after a flop of 557 at last year's WSOP. And yes, they were all in after the flop. That was the ultimate.
