You still should have folded in my opinion.
A pair of 10s with a Jack kicker is not a strong hand. You were correct to raise with it... But should have folded to the re-raise. It does kind of suck how you lost the hand... But let's face it.... You were probably in trouble calling that raise. Tough one though. Side question: Does anyone believe that calling this raise would have been correct on Party? I do.

Easy fold. Too many ways to lose.

i dont think it was that easy of a fold, if i had the best hand and it held up i woulda won
just sucks the WAY i lost it...if it had been a club i woulda been fine with that but runner runner straight...lol |

I agree w/ you that it was a bad call... if it was on Party, I would still fold in that spot. Like you said, Tens with a jack kicker isn't strong. Even on Party.
EDITED TO ADD: I don't consider this a bad beat. TO ME, a bad beat happens when you have a very strong hand get beaten by some type of suckout. Sure, Jun was ahead (percentage-wise) when the money went in... but his hand wasn't particularly strong to begin w/.

Is this ever not true?
Honestly, I don't see the difference. Winning is winning and losing is losing. Just because he hit a card in the group of fewer outs instead of a card in the group of more outs... I don't really see what difference it makes. With that said.......... I really do see the difference. I know what that feels like. But I still would have folded and waited for a better time. I need a pretty good hand to CALL an all-in bet. |

i would have never made this play in a tourny of course but it was a ring game and with the possibility of re-buying i dont think this is a particularly bad play, plus, it was HIM all in not me.
