Default Questions about staking/coaching

here is the deal:

Me and a friend are going to play in all the low level buy-ins of the spring championships of online poker on Stars. He is paying for all the buy-ins but i will be playing the majority of them. The NLHE. Fixed Limit Holdem and the 5-card draw one.

Since he is paying the buy-ins and will play a few of them on is own. what would be a good percentage of the deal? Im also going to have a coach when i play on Skype so how much should that person get as well? I know this is a crazy scenario but im just trying to get help with it. I was thinking 35-65 with my backer on the ones i play in and out of my 35% percent giving the coach 15%. does that sound about right?

Or should i just leave the coach out and play this on my own? Once again I know this is a crazy scenario so any feed back would help.

Thanks for any advice.

Strange scenario, for sure.

I don't see what the ones he is playing and you are not have to do with anything, so let's forget about those. You should only be thinking about the tourneys he is buying you into.

As for the Skype coach, be careful with that, for sure. Having someone watch you play and discuss hands after the fact is one thing, but if he is making the decisions for you, I'm not sure why you are even involved here. The backer should just stake the coach. But ignoring that too...

It depends on a lot of things, like your stats, for starters. I can't give you a number without knowing how good of a player you are. If you are a proven winner and crush these stakes, you can justify a higher cut. If you don't have the experience or are a long term loser at these stakes, obviously you should be happy with whatever you can get.

In the end, it comes down to whatever you and the backer agree on, and the deal with the guy on Skype should be between you and him (but like i said, I don't really get that anyway).

I'd imagine that if you were to get a coach, he'd have to be a successful MTT player. So if he's on, he'd undoubtedly be playing at the same time as you as well. That's pretty much 2 accounts in 1 tourney for him and a sure fire way to get your money taken back if you make anything.
