As Kurn hinted at above, he DID have to show. At least, he thought he did. When they start arguing about mucked/not mucked you can hear him immediately say, "I would NEVER show my cards..(if he hadn't mucked)."

makes sense actually, prob not as bad as it looked. And if he really called thinking even if he had K high and was beat that De wolfee would muck, that's pretty sick. But I really doubt he thought of that, and only said it afterwards to make himself look better
