Playing way too much...
Is there any one else out ther that play poker way too much. I'm pretty much addicted to this game and can't stop. I am up quite a bit from playing and whoring around....but it does get tiring. Does anyone else ever feel like it's a grind?
Is there ways to get away from the game? Once I start playing...it just never ends. I think I'm not spending my time in the right areas of my life. I should be more focused in finishing my studies and what not....but I end up having long sessions day after day. I'm know I got an addition to poker, but don't really consider a gambling problem....since I'm a consistent winning player. After a while, it just feels like it's wearing me down. Are there ways to step away....and limit yourself to playing on recreation basis only and not every day for hours on end? |

You have to ask yourselfone question. What is poker to you? Even if your answer is - it's a job, you need at least one entire day off per week (and probably two) and a limit on how many hours you work.

i have no psychology qualifications
But i am not so sure that you have to necessarily be a losing player to have a 'gambling' problem. We associate gambling problems with losing more money than you can afford. However, if you are winning - but it effects your home life, health, work life, etc i am wondering if that is not a problem as well.
I say this because i ask myself this from time to time. |
