When I showed up, I had just slammed a RedBull because I knew it was going to be a long night ahead of me ... then people started breaking out the weed - half the players can't see straight, while seats 6 & 7 can't stop giggling. LOL. I couldn't have asked for a better situation.

With the blinds at $1/2 (NL) the standard raise was $6. Some people don't understand the concept of "times the big blind." You would frequently see a huge pre-flop raise ... when the table folds, you'll hear something like... "I had the Rockets, boys." (As he flips over AA.) WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!???

One player kept getting two pair - and up until he ran into me, he thought they were the nuts. I for 79o in BB, and I got to see a free flop. I flop 68T (no flush), and I find myself in a good situation. I check-called a $5 bet, and the turn brought a rag. I bet $10, another player called, and another went all-in. I examined the board, checked my nuts (lol), and called.

"Two Pair." (With a certain cockiness.)
"You and those two pair all night. I got a BB Special."
"Huh?" (Ok, so I confused him.)

I flip my straight, and he looks devastated. I apologized I crippled him w/ 79o, but I had no other way to play it. He went on to tell me that he hit the Pick-4 Lottery for $3,000 or something, but he didn't want to buy back in. Whatever, brutha.

It was probably the biggest hand of the night.

It's definitely distinct. I didn't actually see the blunt being lit, but I smelled something while looking at two shitty hole cards..

Anyway AEQ,

Sounds like a soft game. Didn't have anything to do with the weed. That was a mere coincidence. Lots of people that win $$$ on the internet are stoned all of the time. Some people are just stoned at all times no matter what they're doing.

Anyway again,

My home game is pretty bad for people not understanding how to raise like you described. It's tourney style and my boys (they are good friends) insist on playing with real $values on the chips. So, when the BB moves from .50 in round one to $4.00 in round four, I really got the upper hand.

I'll raise to "$12" on the button and they shit their pants and think I'm making a huge bet! Lots of limpers in most of the pots.

Not at all. These guys are smokers, and they can handle themselves - "high" - in many a situation. It's better for me that they are primarily pool players who happen to also play cards. My schedule sucks, but I'd love to hit the game as much as possible.
