Default Mohegan Sun MTT

Yesterday's Noon $60 + 15 MTT at Mohegan. 37 started, I finished 3rd. $333 for my efforts. But that's not why I'm posting. I am posting because

I AM THE KING OF SUCKOUTS!!!

26 left, I have 9 BB in the SB. Aggro UTG raises, I shove with JJ, he snap calls with KK. I spike a J. BOOM!

15 left a few levels later, I have 11 BB. I have AJo in MP3. UTG who's been limping way too much limps, I shove, CO (same guy as last hand) says "you have fucking jacks again?", thinks forever and finally calls with AK. I river a J. BOOM!

Final table, 8 left, 5 get paid. I have 8 BB and shove from the Button with A6o. SB (tightest player there) snap calls with AK. I turn a 6. BOOM!

I definitely stepped in it yesterday.

I was the opposite yesterday. I've been runnin pretty shitty lately, but mostly because I can't seem to touch a flop and my opponents can't seem to miss one against me... not because of bad beats....yesterday changed that

These three hands all happened within 15 minutes of me first sitting down (keep in mind this is full ring live so that's like around 9 total hands)

A9. Flop T8J -- i run into TT and don't improve (ok not a bad beat just shitty)

UTG raise to $50, three calls and I repop to $250 from the BB with AA, UTG shoves with TT I call, river Ten

2 limps, button baby raises to $20, I repop to $85 with AQ from the SB, one limper cold calls raiser calls. Flop AQJ. I bet $175 guy calls raiser folds. Turn 2 I put guy all in (only another $250) he calls with QT, I don't have to mention the river

Semi Brag: I actually ended up for the session in the end though

You really pay 20% in rake?

Playing tourneys might be fun for kicks and all, but that seems pretty brutal. Extra juice, fast structures, slow pace, one table...etc....yuck.

No disagreement, but outside major events (and maybe some weeklies in Vegas), 20%+ rake is the reality of live tournaments.
