Default Lifetime Cake Graph and PT Numbers

Finally up over 20k hands a Cake. Thanks to the converter BL found I can import my Cake hands into PT. I'm not sure the converter accurately converts everything because I'm around 60% W$@SD which just can't be right over 20k hands... unless, of course, I have a superuser account.

So, any comments on the numbers are appreciated. For 6-max my Went To SD % is right around 25% for all levels... is that within the range for most here?

Comments on the 6 max numbers:

Running 21/12 looks to me like you aren't 3 betting enough preflop. That, or you are limping, which you should almost never do. Try to cut your cold calling down to an absolute minimum (like, very, very rarely) and 3 bet more instead. See if you can get that PFR number to be maybe 4% less than the VPIP number. So, like 21/17 or so.

You are definitely running well overall... so don't get discouraged if your numbers drop a bit. In the long run, you'll definitely be a winner, but maybe just not quite as much as you are now. You should fire up PokerEV and see how your EV graphs look.

I think your WtSD number looks good. It's borderline on the high side, but at Cake, I'm guessing it's right about where it should be. I think mine is around there too, but I take note of my opponents when they get > 25%.

Keep it up.

What's a typical 3bet range for 6-max? I'm sure I've got a 3bet range that's probably way too small.

A better question would be, "What's a typical cold call range for 6 max?" And the answer to that question would be "Pretty much nothing." Sure, there are times when it's best to just call with a hand that is too good to fold (OOP from the blinds in a multiway pot, for example), but generally, when you have position and one player has either limped or opened in front of you, if you are playing the hand, you should be three betting it. This isn't a 100% RULE, of course, but it's true more often than not - at least if you play the style I advocate for 6 max, which is pretty aggressive.

Understood. What about when you open and get 3 bet... what's your calling range if you're in position and what's your calling range when OOP? I know this will often times be villain-specific, but with no reads, what would your ranges be?

What about others? How much do you 3bet in 6 max? I don't disagree with you TP, I just 3bet so much less than this that I wanted to get other's opinions as well. I guess I don't see it that often...of course you are much better than I but just wanted to take a lil survey. Ramble ramble ramble...

It is completely villain specific for me and changes - you can't always play the same hand the same way. Usually you'll fold the 67s that you opened with, but if villain is 3 betting a lot or thinks you are stealing a lot, sometimes you'll want to call. Sometimes you can raise his flop bet right away, other times it's better to float him and take it on the turn, other times you will actually have the goods, and yet other times, you may want to just fold if you think it's likely he hit the flop. I honestly don't think I could spell out a range for you here.

Of course, I'm much more likely to just fold to the 3 bet when OOP (I will usually fold as strong as AQs here (opponent specific)) and call MUCH lighter IP. But that's a given. And just toss all those trouble hands you might have opened with, regardless of position... all the AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, KT, QJ, QT, and so on hands. I'd rather call the three bet with a small pair or suited connector than any of those hands that are likely to get me in trouble (unless it's a situation where I'd call with any two - but that's the exception, not the rule).
