Default Talking Poker

I just wanted to thank TP for these forums. They are much smaller and more cozy than some forums out there. I think they really lend themselves to a sense of community which can be very helpful in this crazy poker world. The TP tourney was alot of fun because you actually got to see people you "know" playing. The payout this time was not even worth playing for, but since it was Chip Fish and TP, and especially Aeq and Jackassman! It was a Blast!!!!

The tourney I am involved in tomorrow is the same thing. A bunch of bloggers (84+) will be at Poker Stars playing against each other. We all know and read each others blogs. Unlike the first TP tourney this one has a nice payout, but it is also fun because people I know like Bad Blood are going to be there. If you want to wander by that one go to and get the password. Iggy is a 5/10-15/30 player who plays for the food he eats and starts crazy events like this every once in a while.

I think Poker can be a very frustrating hobby/living sometimes and it is great to have Forums like TPs, and groups of people who enjoy the same hobby. It really makes for a good support network and you can learn alot! So keep it up!

I agree Sir, except for the payout thing. Pokerstars s/w auto-calc's payout structure based on number of participants. It won't pay out 4 places until 20 players sign up. I think paying out 3 was fair for 16 players.

Anyway, see you there on Wednesday! KQ vs QJ coming again!!!!

Yes blog readers are welcome as well. I'm a reader myself and hope to play tomorrow night. If you pm me I'll tell you the tourney password. Or you can research and find it on Iggy's site guinessandpoker.blogspot.com I believe.

Default Bastaaad!

Im gonna have my A game on for you Bassstaaad! First you knock me out, and then you sqwander my money on piddly second place! jesus! I think it was a fair payout, however, I just do not think risking 11 bucks for 80 vs 25 or so is a good deal. 10 for 50 vs 10 seems better. Just my 2 cents. No reflection on the site or the tourney.

Is this still running? How's it going?

Just fired up Stars. I see it ended. I don't recognize any of the top finishers... Looks like a good turnout though. I'll try to get in the next one.
