Full Tilt Iron Man Year End Bonus...
Noticed this on today:
----- Iron Man Challenge Year-End Bonus Players who qualify for any Iron Man Challenge level in December 2007 will be eligible to receive an Iron Man Challenge Year-End Bonus in January 2008. The total bonus that a user can receive is based on the number of months in which they reached an Iron Man level in 2007, and on the levels that they reached. Bronze - $25/Month Silver - $50/Month Gold - $75/Month Iron - $100/Month For example, a player who reached Bronze three times in 2007, Silver twice, Gold twice, and Iron once in 2007 will be eligible to receive a total year-end bonus of $425. The maximum possible bonus a player may earn is $1,200. All qualifying players should see their bonus on January 1st, 2008. In the event that your bonus is not visible on that date, please note that all points you earn beginning on January 1st, 2008 will count toward your bonus. Players may earn their Iron Man Challenge Year-End bonus by playing in our real money ring games and tournaments between January 1st and January 31st, 2008. All Year-End Bonuses will be paid in a lump sum on or about Monday, February 4th, 2008. If a player does not earn their entire bonus before 11:59PM ET on Thursday, January 31st, 2008, we will credit their account with an amount equal to the amount of the bonus they earned between January 1st, 2008 and January 31st, 2008. For example, if you qualified for a $425 bonus for your play in 2007 and you earn 5,000 Full Tilt Points in January 2008, you will convert $250 of your bonus dollars into cash (5,000 * $0.05 = 250). The $250 will be paid in a lump sum in the beginning of February 2008. All players must meet Full Tilt Poker's eligibility requirements, and Full Tilt Poker reserves the right to modify these rules at any time, and for any reason, at its sole discretion. ----- That's good stuff. Looks like I'll have a pretty healthy bonus waiting for me at the end of the year. Unfortunately, I wasn't planning on playing all that much in January, since I'm probably going to be taking a trip or two. Figures. |

3. You do have to earn the bonus in January. The bad news is you actually get $0.05 of bonus for every Full Tilt Point you earn (it's usually $0.06 for our bonuses). The good news is that it does NOT affect rakeback. This bonus is tracked on a web page, and you get one lump sum payment at the end of January. If you only clear $328 in bonus, you'll get paid the $328. Also, you could earn another bonus at the same time as this, so if you have enough Ironman Medals to buy a bonus from the store, January would be a good time.

I am going to have a LOT of poker playing to do in January.
I REALLY hate playing on my laptop though.... which means I'm going to have even MORE playing to do when I get home. Or else I'm gonna be playing a lot of $200 HU SNGs while I'm on the road |

I think it says you have to reach the level in DECEMBER.
And that it will be paid to you on Jan. 1 So that would mean you have alot of poker playing to do in Dec. not Jan. ???????? edit: hmm, looks like they have some confusing/contradicting info in there.... Players who qualify for any Iron Man Challenge level in December 2007 will be eligible to receive an Iron Man Challenge Year-End Bonus in January 2008. The total bonus that a user can receive is based on the number of months in which they reached an Iron Man level in 2007, and on the levels that they reached. So, idk. Last edited by drewjax; 11-27-07 at 03:05 AM. |

Right, it's very simple: You reach (any) Iron Man status in December (just like I have from January through November), and they give you your bonus on January 1st. You then have until January 31st to clear it.
So January if when I have a LOT of playing to do. December is just like any other month. |

So, I was thinking about this a little bit more. Since this doesn't count against MGR, it's basically extra rakeback (if you aren't already getting rake back at Full Tilt, ).
I believe for each dollar of tourney juice you pay, you get 7 FT points. And for every point, you will get $.05 of this bonus, or 35 cents per dollar of rake. And with 27% RB, you're already getting 27 cents per dollar back. So that's 62 cents out of every dollar of rake you pay coming back to you. Hello, 62% RB! That's pretty freaking sweet. Travelling or not, I plan to earn an assload of FT points in January. |
