Default League Layout

Hi all,

I have gone over all the feedback from the polls and threads, run some stuff by TP, and I have a layout for the league.

The point system and year end payout structure from League III will be used because there did not seem to be any reason to mess with it.

Four nights were tied with the most votes. In the end I thought that a relatively consistent night was best because it would be easier to remember and work around where possible. There are 2 exceptions for the holidays.

I went with Stars because it was the most popular. However, there are a few events that we will try to set up at FT. If you don't keep cash on one of those sites, trades are possible if you can get someone to trust you.

The 5 card draw and 2-7 triple draw were not available as private tournmants

-------------------------------------------------
Optional League registration: $20
Tournament buy-in: $5
EDIT: All tournaments start at 9:30 pm

Warmup Bounty tournament (to be determined by TP)

**exceptions in bold

1. NLH Stars Mon Nov 19
2. LH Stars Mon Nov 26
3. NLH Stars Mon Dec 3
4. Omaha H/L Stars Mon Dec 10
5. NLH Fulltilt Mon Dec 17
6. Stud H/L Stars Sun Dec 23
7. NLH Fulltilt Sun Dec 30
8. Razz Stars Mon Jan 7
9. NLH Stars Mon Jan 14
10. PLO Fulltilt Mon Jan 21
11. NLH Stars Mon Jan 28
12. HORSE Stars Mon Feb 4

T.O.C. NLH Stars Mon Feb 11

---------------------------------------------------

Obviously this schedule does not meet everyones needs. I tried to go with consensus and what seemed reasonable.

Let me know if you have any suggestions regarding what appears here.

I think it looks great.

Hopefully people will agree. If so, I'll start the official thread, collecting league fees, and setting up all the tourneys by the end of the week or so.

Thanks for your initiative on this.

I think it would be a good idea to have a baller division where people put up 1-5k on who finishes better in the league. At least that would spark some interest from me.

Donations to the league fee, would be nice...since you can afford to give more.

Seriously though, that's how the other league I'm in operates. If there is someone who'd like to donate to the league, they do.

There is NO league fee (one of the things I like about it). To compensate, they ask every league player who places, to send 10% of their winnings (and/or donate whatever they like).

They, in turn, get more interested players to join and the tournament turnout is impressive.

Invigilator: would it be possible to change the Stud H/L for a different date? Christmas time isn't a good time for me and I do enjoy playing Stud h/l, but I understand if you can't make changes.

There is definitely nothing stopping the high rollers from setting up side bets, but it would probably be better to have them set it up among themselves.

As to the stud h/l game, I think it would be best if we considered switching it to a different place in the schedule. I'll take peek at it later tonight.

I think skipping that one week would be a good idea. I'll adjust the schedule and post it. I think we can run with it at that point.

I'm putting together the league thread now, so if anyone has any last minute suggestions, now is the time to post them.

Also, since the last league used each person'd best 8 scores out of 20 tourneys played, I'm dropping that number to 6 out of the 12 we have scheduled this time around.

I'm not 100% sure about hwo to set up private tourneys on Full Tilt just yet, but that's the plan for 3 of them. If this doesn't work out, we'll be moving them to Stars as well.

OK, back to my megapost.
