Yeah, I wans't interested in the video yet - I was just reading all the text. there's a lot of good stuff on that site. As for videos, there is some decent stuff on YouTube.

My bat came today. I haven't hit it yet, but am planning on taking some BP with it tomorrow night. FWIW, it LOOKS sweet.

Think I should do the rubber mallet thing? Also, should I not hit batting cage balls with this bat (since I assume they are much harder, like baseballs), or doesn't it matter? I know you don't want to hit hard balls with doublewalls, but I don't know about this bat. I've read conflicting things.

if you want to use a rubber mallet go for it.... just put a sock over it or something before you do it so it doesnt leave marks. Also DO NOT hit batting cage balls with that bat, those will also leave marks on the bat.

Just use regular softballs to break the bat in or use the mallet with a sock, towel or something over it.

I forogt to tell you that I used my bat for some BP the night before the cruise. About 5 of us got together and hit it, and I really like it. The balls we were using were crap for the most part, and I still managed to go yard twice, which is good for me. I SHOULD have that much power, but generally don't.

So far, my review of this bat is a perfect score. It feels really good when you hit the (very large) sweet spot.

sounds like you like it.

There are better bats out there but for $200 new in the wrapper with a return you really cant find a better deal for a bat.

ASA has a rule regarding the velocity of a ball coming off of the bat. The composite bats have a "shell" so to speak over them that needs to be broken in. Once you break in the bats and remove their shell they hit a lot faster. I'm not sure of the exact science behind it.
