Default College Football Bowl Games

Anyone putting bets on any of the big college football bowl games?
Right now WSEX has USC -2.5 in the Orange Bowl, Auburn -6.5 in the Sugar Bowl, Utah -16 in the Fiesta Bowl, and Texas -6.5 in the Rose Bowl. Another game that looks interesting is LSU -7 against Iowa in the Capital One Bowl. Any thoughts?

Default I'm liking Auburn in the Sugar Bowl

You don't go 12-0 without being a damn good team. Virginia Tech won't be a pushover, but I can't imagine Auburn won't cover a one-touchdown spread.

but are they 12-0 against the spread?

I have always found bowl games tough to bet. Just look at Cincy killing Marshall. Marshall was favored in what should have been a slug fest, but took a royal dump. Money lost.

Right now I'd take Oklahoma at anything up to maybe -3, just because I think they're the better team, so I'm definitely going with them at +2.5. I agree with 2Tone that Auburn will cover a 6.5 point spread, VT is good but I feel that Auburn could've given Oklahoma or USC a good fight in the BCS Championship game. The Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl look like the tougher bets to me. I have little doubt that Utah won't win the Fiesta Bowl, but I think its hard to take anyone -16 in a big bowl game, even if they're going against the Big East champs.

i think that VT will cover against auburn. they played as well as anyone in the country down the stretch, and their only losses during the season were to USC and NC State, which are pretty good programs.

i think the most interesting betting number for the bowls is the over/under for the louisville/boise game. last time i was in vegas the number was 83 for that game, which is unbelieveable. what is remarkable is that i dont even know which side of the bet i would take.
