A great quote from BoobieLover's Blog.
July 26th, 2006 I also don’t like that I have basically been dumbed down into being incapable of playing without my precious PokerAceHUD. At this moment, I need a new site that doesn’t allow datamining for this reason. Hopefully with no easy game selection, this will further excel my game because I am faced against people that are at least semi-competent. That is a great post.

Wow. My already favorable opinion of Boobie just went up a few notches.
I've kept my mouth shut on this issue simply because realistically, the sites will never do it, but I've always felt that from a purely poker-player perspective, online sites should block *all* datamining tools. But, that's all I'll say. I accept the fact that the tools are likely here to stay.

If the sites were to disallow HUDs, I do think that the play would become vastly softer than before. Although, that happening is not realistic since the people that provide the sites with the most business are the 12-tabling HUDmasters.

ive always said this and thats why i never used the dumb thing or anything else.
it'd be alot more fun to play if ppl didnt have so many stats on u and just went off reads. alot of times i feel like im probably the only person at the tbl who doesnt have it.

JD, there's a clear difference between the original quote, posted by Chip - taken from Boobie's blog, and what you just said.
Can you see the difference? I submit that you cannot.

I'm with shabi.
I don't see why I would EVER want to do this (see bold), unless it's more important for me to move up and beat the big game than it is for me to win money. And for me, I'd rather win money than try to prove myself against the best in the world. |

well if u want to get better at something, one of the easiest ways is to play ppl better than u... so i think it pays for itself over time.

Let me dumb it down for a few of those people who are having trouble grasping the concept.
