Default Foxwoods Friday Night

Not really a trip report, but the wife and I headed down to Foxwoods for a spur-of-the-moment overnight this past Friday. Three observations.

1. The 5/10 kill at $100 LHE game was a live as ever. 6 seeing the flop for one or two bets and more than one chasing to the river. I would've stayed in this all night, but left up about $7 because...

2. The 5/10 HORSE went for the first time in regulars' memory.
I'll tell you, this was the most enjoyable time I've had (socially, not $$$) at a poker room in a long time. The whole table agreed to put a full kill at $100 on the HE rounds, a full kill at $100 scoop on the O/8 rounds and then to my amazement, all agreed to elimainate stud-hi from the rotation (so I guess we played HORE) It was a blast even though I left the game down $50 after 4 hours.

3. There was actually a fight in the poker room. Now, the FW poker room is a huge approximate L-shape, so except from being in the middle of the L, most people can't see at least 1/3 of the room. Our table wasn't far from the action, and though nobody saw the punch, we all heard it. I don't know what led up to it, but a 30-ish guy called an older guy (50-60) a faggot, and the older guy clocked him. It was broken up almost immediately and there were a lot of floorpeople milling around getting statement. Funny thing was, it took about 45 minutes to get security down there to walk the gray-haired guy out.

The stakes at the table? 2-4 limit O/8.

Entertaining night.
