I am anxious to hear from some of the better players here on this one. I am inclined to say I would have done the same as you, that's why flopping a set is such a great hand, it's really hard to see it coming. In this case you really only had a few reads, bluff, AK or full house one way or the other. I am not saying I would have gotten away from the hand after he pushed, I'm just saying file this one away for future reference and hope it helps you down the road.

Unless your opponent seems to be ultratight, I dont think you could have done much to be honest. The ONLY big sign of strength I see here is the check call, followed by an all in...

But as I said, only if he struck you as really tight is that a hand you can lay down.

I don't wanna comment directly to stussy because Def and Penguin already summed up my feelings on the subject.

But what I will say is I love this forum. Not only will it help Stussy learn, but having seen the hand history here, I've learned too.

Getting paid to improve my game isn't a bad concept at all.

I would agree that there isn't much you could have done about this one. Its good that it didn't cost you that much money.

not much you could do. i wouldnt want to raise anymore with AQo from early position than you did, and thus there is really no way for you to bully 99 out of the pot. and after that, you cant push the guy off his set. i dont think that i could have laid the hand down either, so i wouldnt feel to bad about it.

You played it just fine, it's just going to happen every once in a while.
