I live in the best country in the world for online poker. I dont pay tax on winnings, i dont pay fees, i dont have to worry about government passing bills or whatever. Here in Canada, we will do a study on the effects of internet gambling.
The results will be completed and put to use in early 2014.
Then, if nobody is offended, the Government will possibly, maybe, if it doesn't bother anyone, put forth a statement along the lines of:
