Here here! I'm not a HUGE B-Ball fan but I completely agree. I think that basketball is quite possibly the BEST spectator sport around. Far more action and almost NO violence. (I *HATE* watching hockey for that reason alone) The NBA doesn't put up with any shit like that.

I've only been fortunate enough to see one NBA game live. It was Nuggets @ Raptors a LONG time ago (shortly after that one Denver player got in shit over standing for the anthem or something like that). This was when the Raptors were still playing in the Skydome. I loved every minute of that game. At one point there was a plan for me to be moving out to British Columbia. My plan was to get season tickets to Portland once I got out there. But that all fell through.
