Good post (Zy, not shab ). However, I really don't think there are many players here that this applies to. I don't think we have enough of these so called "very solid" players yet, ready to make that next step to greatness.

To answer your question though, I think (....get ready....) "it depends." Not only that, but I think it's a combination of the things you mentioned that is key. Knowing how to play your hand differently against different opponents - and not just with slightly different bet amounts, but actually how you play the hand (check a made hand on the turn to set up a big river bet that looks like a missed draw bluff or bet it on both streets for value?)...

I think this is a good thought you have here, but I don't think there is a hard and fast answer. I also think great players are better at mixing up their play then good players, which makes the answer to your question even more elusive. There is no right or wrong answer.
