If you offer someone $25 for posting messages and say that it's free, then you can't have a stipulation on it. A stipulation (ie: "signing up at one of my affiliate link websites...") is called "consideration" in the world of contract law, and the $25 is then said to be "bargained for."
What does this all mean? Probably nothing. My point is this: If he wants to offer FREE money, then it should be free. When the offer expires, then it expires. The problem with making someone sign up w/ an affiliate link is that they are required to deposit for him to make any money. What if people can't / don't want to deposit into another site? Did I miss a post somewhere saying when the free money would stop? After Christmas? (Sure, it can't go on forever... he's not THAT good of a cardplayer...) Hah!

A few things:
1. This is a suggestion, so I'm moving it into the suggestions section. 2. This little promo of mine is costing my a fortune, and I expect it to continue to. It will definitely be ending. There is a solid base of posters here now though, so hopefuly this forum will continue to grow.... and I will definitely have other promos in the future - private tourneys with added money and so on. 3. The promo ends on 12/31/04 - says so right in the first post on this site. |
