I dont think that this point can be underemphasized. Even if you have the standard 300 bb roll for a game, if the stakes intimidate you in anyway then it is probably best to play at a lower limit until you feel completely comfortable making the leap. Until you feel completely comfortable at the higher level the lower game will be more profitable, because you will play much closer to optimally, irregardless of the level of your competition.
