I was busy all day - didn't play at all. I'll sell you a piece of myself in an upcoming tourney or two (later this week) if you're still interested...

The $200+15 has my interest these days because I don't work on Mondays anymore and can stay up to watch, I am usually on the rail for that game each week. It's surprising how similar the game is to the low limit buy-ins for the first hour or two, I guess because so many people win small buy-in satellites to get a seat. After that you rarely see a flop and almost never a turn card, different game for sure.

If I play in any tournaments again that will be what I do. I think my strategy from now on will be to stick to cash games and mostly Omaha8 at that. Looking back at what happened to the money I deposited I can mostly blame tournaments for busting me. I am starting to think that they sure are fun, but have to be -ev in the long run. Two or three hours of surviving just to squeak into the money and get double your buy-in back just can't be sound strategy and with as many players as these games get anymore it's just a matter of time before run into a bad beat and there are so many chips in play that making the final table is almost impossible without getting lucky several times or getting dealt tremendous cards over and over. The only final tables I made were games with under 500 players and the only game I ever won was 90 players.

My strategy next time (probably next month after vacation in Atlantic City) will be to focus on moving up in cash games instead of trying to make a big score in a tournament all at once.

what I do is play cash games and with some of the money I make I reward myself with tourneys.

I play tourneys for fun but it would be nice to make that big score 1 time.

I would be interested in selling most of myself for a tourney entry, since I can't really afford to enter on my own. Not that I expect any serious offers.
