I once had someone called me when I played on a blackjack site clearing a bonus and told me I had a freeroll to a slot machine tournament. I never played it but they called and told me about it.

So I dont see a big deal with it... they were just calling and reminding you, maybe thinking you forgot since you havent deposited yet.

Don't give them your phone number if you don't want them to call.

I wouldn't like it either, but I'm sure (well, I suspect) it's in the terms that you accepted when you signed up to play on their site.
