He asked a silly question regarding his bankroll size.
I was merely guiding him away from tourneys... I also likened playing tourneys with a $10 bankroll to that of finding a quarter and a slot machine, or putting all of it on one hand.... Basically it would be hope and prayer... (and even that wouldn't be enough). Was it a personal attack? No. Each time he whines that I pick on him and must not like him, he forgets to ask these questions: Did ChipFish even look to see who posted this? Does ChipFish care one way or the other? Did ChipFish actually give me good advice? Does the good advice change if ChipFish had of given me kind words of encouragement rather than blatently keeping me from doing something stupid with my bankroll? And Lou: Question for you. Is there any similarity between the slots and all-in statement, and using your entire bankroll to play a multi? You're a smart guy. I'll just answer for you. A) YES. All 3 are completely determined by luck. And to answer the next question, No. Multi's are not luck-based. But there is the element of luck that allows 1-2-or3 outers to hit.

MTTs aren't based on luck?
Funny. Dan Harrington and other tournament / poker pros disagree with you. Skill takes you a long way, but you need you get lucky and win your fair share of coinflips. You're a smart guy. You knew that. And regarding all that other stuff: your advice, in my opinion, was shitty.

Let's add the word that should have been there all along but I omitted by mistake. That should make more sense now. My bad.
However, this is the point I was trying to make.... Bad Luck = No more bankroll. Understand the advice now?

In the future, when you find yourself backpeddling, instead of "my bad," use the Latin counterpart: "mea culpa." At least you'll sound smarter.
It's late, I have to get some sleep. See you all tomorrow.

First off dickwad, I am not backpeddling.
Perhaps had I given poor advice to begin with; such as "tourney players at Pacific are really poor, you should play tourneys with your $10 to build your roll", then everyone would be happy. Well, Bigjohn wouldn't be happy. He'd be broke. It's that simple. If he's playing with a Starting bankroll of $10, he should NOT be playing tourneys. Now then. Advice can change with a different bankroll. He's at roughly $40 bucks now. If I remember correctly Pacific has $2+.25or+.5 SNGs.... Easy money there. Now, he can make the choice of playing micro-limit ring games, or small but-in tourneys.
