EDIT: after about 10 minutes, I answered my own question. If I won a package, there are a number of things that would absorb 5k really quickly.

BTW, anyone have a good racing bike they want to off-load cheap?

Thanks all. I got $2500 cash right away, and Stars adds $10k cash to your account after a few days.

I'm too much of a nit to gamble 10k. I know I would probably be better than 75% of the field at the main event, but my chances to make the money or go deep is pretty slim.

And I seriously don't think I would be able to sell enough of myself to make it worth the hassle. I don't know, I'll probably play more qualifiers and if I win another package, will probably use the W$ for this event, since I would get an upgraded room from stars for being a Supernova.

And for the record, given the choice, I'd take the money too. I may or may not keep most/all of it in my poker bankroll (you gotta buy yourself SOMETHING cool), but I'd personally rather play 10 $1000 tourneys that one $10k tourney.
