I didn't get through all of this, but am I supposed to get the impression that these guys actually believe it was okay to "sell" an account with a big tournament currently in progress on it?

Player A gets deep in big tourney.
Player B "buys" Player A's account, logs in and takes over. Player B is much better (online pro) and has a very different style than Player A and goes on to crush the opponents who didn't realize they were playing a ringer. While there is no "one player to a hand" rule online (that i know of), this is something that would very obviously not be allowed in a B&M poker tourney, so IMO, it shouldn't be allowed online. "Ghosting" (I play under my account, but get a guy like herschelw on AIM to tell me exactly what to do the whole time) shouldn't be allowed either, but that would be impossible to regulate. I guess it's just one of the drawbacks of being able to hide behind a computer monitor. The interview is worth reading. |
