Question - why dont more teams pass more than once?? Colts did a QB - RB handoff, and the RB threw to a short WR, and they advanced 25 yards the other day.

The receiver runs a hook pattern and then laterals it to someone running behind him the opposite direction of the hook.

You can only have one forward pass per play... and the more laterals or backwards passes you design into a play the greater the chance that someone will botch it up and fumble... and turning the ball over in the NFL is not a good thing.
