To answer your first question: To make more money!

Also, that 2k month wasn't every month. Just that month in particular.

In my short experience in 3/6, I've noticed some really tight play. Yesterday, 7 out of 9 peoople I was playing against were seeing the flop 15% of the time or less. You just don't see this on 2/4, ever.

Ultra-aggressive is the way to play in these games. I saw a guy yesterday, who was just going nuts, raising and reraising with anything, ANYTHING, pre and post flop. He was getting people out and showing Q6 os with no pairs and shit. Finally, one guy got pissed and played him to the river with anything. Basically, he paid for information for the rest of us.

The Maniac was up close to $400 in two hours playing at this table. He did pay me off however. I almost made a post late last night while playing so some of you could take a look at this guy. Craziest player I've ever seen.

While I'm not saying his play would be a winner in the long run, (it won't) it showed me what can be done with aggressive play against a tight table at these levels. I loosened up, started making some middle position raises with middle pairs, or even QJos at the right times and was able to steal the blinds a lot, which can add up.

Much tighter play at this level.
