KJ Danger Will Robinson
Last night I was up overall but could have been much more so. I guess this is not technically a bad beat, but it shows the danger of weak kickers. I am not sure how I could have played this differently.
I am dealt KJ in LP and I bet it. Nobody had shown any strength to this point. The flop is a wonderful KKx. Three people in at this point. Trips baby! Oh Yeah! I check the flop, one guy bets, and the other guy calls. I check-raise the turn. One guy calls, the other guy fold. It is down to the two of us. I bet the river and he calls me. The pot mysteriously slides over to his side. He had KQ! Ouch! I asked him why he did not raise me on the river. He said he was scared I had AK. Ha! What a loser! I had been playing with this guy for hours and ALWAYS raised AK. I got beat enough with my AK's last night that this guy should have known I did not have AK. Oh Well. Better luck next time KJ. |
