Couple things for SIR
this kinda goes back to Sir's "the new Brian" thread, dont want to start a new thread like that but had some comments I wanted to make for him. Of course anyone else is welcome to add.
In your blog you mention that you cant grind it out because you dont show the profit you would like to. I like to argue with this, I just deposited $140 on full tilt and "grinded" my way up to $700 in 2 days. Thats over $500 in 2 days, is that not enough profit for you? I can honeslty say I played within the bankroll also started at .5/.10 until had over $200 which then moved up to .10/.25 until had over $400 and then moved up to .25/.50. Now when I reached around $500 I did experiment the higher games to see how I liked them but I didnt stay long because I realized I was playing with very scared money. Guess the point im trying to make is if you multi table your correct bankroll limits I think you can still make the money you desire to make by playing good poker. Right now im playing .25/.50 and have no desire to move up until im over $1,000. I'am in no hurry to make tons of money, to me poker is a game of patience and I sure as hell dont want a blowup like I had before. The one thing in your blog I fine ironic though is how you title your little quest "BRIAN" and im probolly the one that is most against it I have read alot about you and I know you say your not gonna blow your roll because you are only risking $5 of it . I know you, I know you go on tilt very easy and I know there is a chance if you blow a small portion of that roll the rest of the roll might end up at $5/$10 in the desperate attempt to get it back. You got a roll now, you say you make tons of money so it dont matter but everytime you have busted out it seems like it did matter to you. Maybe its not so much of a issue of money but the fact that you feel you are playing great and just getting unlucky. Been said before poker is about variance and gotta handle the swings and gotta have disapline. These are all thing im working real hard on now to contol and get better with. Think if you also worked on them you would be a fine player. Whatever you decide Sir good luck to you. |
