I'm 3-2 through my first five $100 matches. One of those losses should have definitely been a win (how many times do I need to get him all in with the best hand???), but I'm sure it evens out somewhere... like this gift, for example...
This was my fastest match to date - one hand. I really thought I'd only get paid off if I hit the 8. Wasn't expecting him to shove all his chips in with 4 cards to a straight on the board, but to each their own. I think because I led at the river, he assumed I didn't have it. You'd be AMAZED at how many people make that incorrect assumption. ![]() PokerStars Game #2850519076: Tournament #14040839, Hold'em No Limit - Match Round I, Level I (10/20) - 2005/10/20 - 17:24:47 (ET) Table '14040839 1' One on One Seat #1 is the button Seat 1: Papa Chippi (1500 in chips) Seat 2: Rogue23 (1500 in chips) Papa Chippi: posts small blind 10 Rogue23: posts big blind 20 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Rogue23 [9d 7s] Papa Chippi: raises 40 to 60 Rogue23: calls 40 *** FLOP *** [5h 6s 4d] Rogue23: bets 85 Papa Chippi: raises 85 to 170 Rogue23: calls 85 *** TURN *** [5h 6s 4d] [Qd] Rogue23: checks Papa Chippi: bets 300 Rogue23: calls 300 *** RIVER *** [5h 6s 4d Qd] [3s] Rogue23: bets 545 Papa Chippi: raises 425 to 970 and is all-in Rogue23: calls 425 and is all-in *** SHOW DOWN *** Papa Chippi: shows [5c Qc] (two pair, Queens and Fives) Rogue23: shows [9d 7s] (a straight, Three to Seven) Papa Chippi is sitting out Rogue23 collected 3000 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 3000 | Rake 0 Board [5h 6s 4d Qd 3s] Seat 1: Papa Chippi (button) (small blind) showed [5c Qc] and lost with two pair, Queens and Fives Seat 2: Rogue23 (big blind) showed [9d 7s] and won (3000) with a straight, Three to Seven |
