Ivey Mucks the Winner...
From last night's WSOP broadcast.
Ivey has 77 wit hthe 7. Villain has A9 (something like that). Over 2 million chips go into the pot preflop, and then they check it all the way down, with the last card being the A and putting a 4 flush on the board. Villain says he has an Ace... Ivey waits for him to table it, and then Ivey mucks without even checking to see if he had a spade. Now I'm sure this is a mistake anyone could make, but with 3 tables left at the WSOP at the pot representing over 20% of your stack, don't you think everyone should ALWAYS double check their cards on a 4 flush board? Pretty costly mistake. |
