Windsor and Poker
Windsor has population of just over 300,000 as of the 2001 national census. The paper likely picked up on the Daniel N. bit because it runs his column in the Saturday edition. The Windsor area poker scene is developing. There is an addition going on the Casino Windsor, which also happens to be a Harrah's property. There is a lot of potential here, but the big road blocks are the upper management of the poker room who don't seem interested in doing anything othger than day to day business, and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission, that is making charity tournaments outside of a Casino pretty bloody difficult. I am really hoping that once the convention center addition is complete we might see a WSOP Cirucuit event her in the next 2-4 years.
