I heard that a while ago, So I'm not sure if it's in the article you posted, but:
Although the Tourney Directors replaced the fakes with "real" chips at equal value, If any players are caught with fakes they will be disqualified.

Pissed off about that 1 outer you lost on the river?
Slip in your "card protector".
Then report the bastard!
