Alright ... I've very frustrated that I don't have a comfortable bankroll. I have a weenie bankroll. From here on out (throughout this thread and all other threads) I'm going to call my weenie bankroll, "eggroll." I can't call it a "bankroll" without laughing, and I think eggroll suits it fine.
I made a $65 deposit about a week and a half ago. Maybe two weeks. I began playing CHEAP NL games to build the eggroll. I dunno about you, but these games are desperately boring. 5c/10c nl actually makes me want to kill myself. (This is, btw, the absolute lowest limit I will play ... LOL.) So, after going up $10, down $10, etc, a few meager MTT finishes, I found myself right around $70. Then I began playing $1/2 6M/LHE. I know this breaks all the rules regarding BR management, but I don't have a BR, I have an eggroll. I knew the swings could be ferocious, but I'm a gambler. Let it ride. ![]() Over the course of two days, I got up to right around $114. Grinding up from $70, I'm lovin it! Last night wasn't so good. I kept getting chinned, and I'm sure you know the routine: AQ v. A6 ... Ace on the flop ... 6 on the river. My two pair gets counterfietted on the river. My AK (K on the flop) runs up against AA. I don't feel like I played anything horribly wrong, but I just kept coming up second best. All these beats caused me to lose just about half my stack. So. Here I am. I have just about $60 on Stars... and I really don't know what to do with it. LOL. Any suggestions? Here's what I'm kicking around... 1 ~ Sit at a full $2/4 game and hope for the best 2 ~ Sit at a short $2/4 game and hold on 3 ~ Play $10NL and try to build 4 ~ Give another shot at $1/2 6max 5 ~ $10+1 SnGs Before giving your suggestion... realize this: -I don't have a high tolerance for $10NL, but I can play it. It's hard to play this limit when you've played $2/4 NL before, ya know? -Playing $2/4 w/ $60 is stupid, but it's a shot. I have no problem gambling. This isn't my life's bankroll, but if I lose, I'll just be out of the game for a month or two. -SnGs used to be my bread and butter ... now, I can't remember the last time I played one. Note: I welcome all comments / opinions from most people. Please, no stupid comments from stupid people... I'm not in the mood. ![]()

6 + .50, damn easy money. I four table their 15 + 1 turbos to clear their bonuses, and make a decent profit in between. Play tight and smart, and you'll have no trouble pulling in a 50%ROI which is insane!

So, you suggest the $6+.50 TURBO SnGs? Why turbo? Why not regular?

going from a healthy bankroll to your eggroll is rough. If your really want to grind it out I suggest playing those low NL games which you hate. If you want to gamble go to the 1/2 short games because like you said they are very soft. If you go the later route though expect that there is a very good chance you may be writing a post next week explaining how you got busted out against a guy who hit runner runners or something like that.
I was never real happy with low limit sit and gos so I dont suggest those. I dont think you should take it to 2/4 because 2 hands and you might be busted out. |

I like the 3 table SnG for about 5 or 10, its a little bit of gamble but with decent luck you can get yourself more than what the single tablers give you. And I enjoy them honestly, its like a MTT (technically i guess it is) except not so incredibly long. Oh, and dont forget the heads up matches. If you are a gambler these are good. I consider myself decnet at heads up and won quite a few there, like 80% but then I have evened out by bad luck and a little poor play.
