Poker Stars WCOOP#8 Final Table - Bad Beat
I'll set it up. This is the final table of the WCOOP #8 event. Down to 5 players - everyone is guaranteed 91.29k. 4th place gets over 30k more.
This hand then happens: PokerStars Game #2557127475: Tournament #10017954, Hold'em No Limit - Level XX (10000/20000) - 2005/09/12 - 03:25:18 (ET) Table '10017954 82' Seat #3 is the button Seat 1: DJ16097 (1555332 in chips) Seat 3: jerrod (1124284 in chips) Seat 5: Illuminee (625048 in chips) Seat 6: ayaz (516040 in chips) Seat 8: VikingVII (654296 in chips) DJ16097: posts the ante 1000 jerrod: posts the ante 1000 Illuminee: posts the ante 1000 ayaz: posts the ante 1000 VikingVII: posts the ante 1000 Illuminee: posts small blind 10000 ayaz: posts big blind 20000 *** HOLE CARDS *** VikingVII: folds DJ16097: folds jerrod: folds Illuminee: calls 10000 ayaz: raises 60000 to 80000 Illuminee: raises 80000 to 160000 ayaz: calls 80000 *** FLOP *** [3d 9d 5c] Illuminee: bets 100000 ayaz: raises 255040 to 355040 and is all-in Illuminee: calls 255040 *** TURN *** [3d 9d 5c] [3s] *** RIVER *** [3d 9d 5c 3s] [4d] *** SHOW DOWN *** Illuminee: shows [Ad As] (two pair, Aces and Threes) ayaz: shows [3c 2c] (three of a kind, Threes) ayaz collected 1035080 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 1035080 | Rake 0 Board [3d 9d 5c 3s 4d] Seat 1: DJ16097 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: jerrod (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 5: Illuminee (small blind) showed [Ad As] and lost with two pair, Aces and Threes Seat 6: ayaz (big blind) showed [3c 2c] and won (1035080) with three of a kind, Threes Seat 8: VikingVII folded before Flop (didn't bet) The player with Aces gets knocked out a few rounds later. But this 5 outer cost him at least 30k...and maybe a shot at close to 400k. I don't even know how you continue to play poker after 11 hours of grueling poker and have one of the sickest beats...haha. |

Can you guess my favorite part of your post?
The fact that you laugh after describing how grueling the play was, and how much money was at stake. LOL.

Yeah... tough break, but I'd say that a nearly 100k payday will be a decent consolation prize. I can also almost guarantee he put a bad beat on someone earlier in the tourney, when he could have been knocked out and gone home with $0.

I was watching this ayaz, as i have played and beat him before, i railed his table for 1 hour. We went from 100k to 500k chips, heres how.
Hand 1 - both all in, AKclubs vs AK spades. FLop brings 3 spades, away wins. hand 2 - AK vs 910, flop is crap, turn is crap, river brings a 9, ayaz wins 100k hand 3 - KQdmds vs KQ spades, flop brings 2 spades, river brings third, ayaz wins hand 4 - AQ vs A8, river is an 8, ayaz wins IS THIS THE LUCKYEST MOFO IN THE WORLD??????????? |
