What to run, in what position
continued from previous thread...........
ok here is another question ive been thinking about what do you raise with in what position. Of course the obvious like AA,KK,QQ,AK but now put the position in mind like I would raise JJ in late position if no-one hand raised or in early position if im 1st to act on the pot and I would just call it in late position, but how about stuff like KQ,AJ,AQ. Do you just want to see the flop cheap with them or should you raise to drive some of the others out since it seems those hands dont work well in multi pots? |

A-X suited and K-X suited
what do you all think about these cards, what position do you run them in? how many bets are they worth to you? personally I only like them in late position with 1 bet only, only good for flopping 2 to the flush because if you hit your high card then your hand is pretty much beat because your kicker is so weak. Probolly saying stuff people already know but want your personal opinion about them, me personally id rather lay them down then run them dont want to get in trouble with them.

i like to play Ax and Kx in pretty much any position. i will fold them if i hit the ace or king with no kicker, but i like playing these because my opponents usually dont put me on them. i have a much tighter table image, so people generally dont think that I play hands like this from early position.
i like raising with a lot of the hands that were mentioned earlier as calling hands, and i dont play some of them at all. from early position I will raise with AA-99, AKs-ATs, AK, AQ. i wont be in the pot if I have KTo, QJ, etc. |

ok
2 more things to concider.........
1. suited connectors- when do you play them and in what position. I personally hate them because if I hit the flush im always worried about someone having a higher flush and if I hit the sucker straight someone could already have the better one. 2. small wired pairs- when do you play them and in what position? how many bets do you call? |

I don't get it ...
I'm not sure I follow this logic. So you play Kx in early position, and two others limp. What is it you are hoping for on the flop? Especially since you mention that you fold if you hit the king with no kicker. Huh?
Also, I'm curious you maintain a tight table image playing this range of hands. But if so, well done! |

ya
I was also wondering if you dont hit your flush on the flop then your chasing which is never the position I would want to be in really. Then if board pairs you could be drawing dead, I will only play them in late position for 1 bet and will usually fold them if board is paired. |

very sad
cant believe this thread hasnt had more traffic as much as you all argue about what to run in what position in other threads. Well here is your chance, a chance to give you opinion in the RIGHT thread. I know some of it depends on how the rest of your table is playing but everyone has certain guidelines they follow so lets hear it!!!!!!!!!!
