I have been playing online for a little over year now, but I have never looked into tracking software.

Is this something that the poker sites...

a) frown upon?
b) will freeze my account for?
c) will take my children for?
d) don't care either way about?
e) can't track?

Just want to know.

as for as I know, every site is ok with pokertracker and pokerace HUD. TP has some links around here, follow them and get these programs. You are losing money without them. Remind me later to find some threads about how to use them once you have had them for a while and have some hands (25K is a good start) in pokertracker (PT).

The best place to learn about pokertracker is at . I'm sure the stuff you're asking about is in the FAQ there. They also have a forum there and are really quick to respond to questions.

No, no, no, yes, I don't know. At least for every site that Poker Tracker supports, anyway.

And yeah, I have a banner link to PT at the bottom of every page on this site. I think it's literally made me about $40 LIFETIME, but I'm a big believer.

I love it, noones shouted at me for using it. I DONT have HUD though, dunno why but its some weird moral thing, and i dont play enough cash games i think

What features/numbers would you recommend That I pay the most attention to for both myself and my opponents?

Start with VPIP and PFR - by far, the two most important numbers (and you don't need a huge sample size to get a decent idea of where someone stands).
