Trinity 15 Laterals Play
I'm sure most of you have now seen the play from Saturday where a Division III game ended on a play with 15 laterals. So, I've shown my boys the Cal-Stanford play on YouTube several times, they get a huge laugh out of the band being on the field and the one band guy getting flattened in the endzone, so they see the clip of the Trinity play on SportsCenter and my youngest says, "why didn't the band go out on the field?" Too funny.
Here's the play...

one thing, which some people are gonna laugh at me for im sure....
Here we have rugby, im sure youve seen it. Question - why dont more teams pass more than once?? Colts did a QB - RB handoff, and the RB threw to a short WR, and they advanced 25 yards the other day. WHy dont more people do it? |

Rug-what?
You can only have one forward pass per play... and the more laterals or backwards passes you design into a play the greater the chance that someone will botch it up and fumble... and turning the ball over in the NFL is not a good thing.
