WSOP winner not happy about being busted
A poker champion cited on a misdemeanor gambling charge in a weekend raid on a clandestine casino said Tuesday that the police could have been more useful battling serious crime elsewhere. Maciek "Michael" Gracz, 26, a World Series of Poker winner from Raleigh, said it was a waste of tax dollars for more than a dozen officers to spend about eight hours at the scene Saturday night and early Sunday.

Yeah, that was a disaster. Two big hands vs him - one hand i had 7s - i raised preflop and he called. Flop came K,2,x - two clubs (i had one i think). I bet into him kinda hard and he jacked it up. I folded and he showed me pocket 2s (for a set). A few hands later - i get AK. I raised preflop and he called. Flop came something like 10,2,10 - i forget the exact but it was a pair like that. I bet something like the size of the pot into it - he went through some big speech and blah-blah-blah and put me all-in. I folded (btw - i dont want a hand analysis on this - i have re-lived it enough and talked about it enough). That whole day was a disaster (day 2). I kept getting good starting hands, i raise, one caller. I miss the flop, i cb into it - they raise me and i fold. And repeat. sigh - australia was a long...long time ago. I wont even get into the fun i had tonight - TP got an ear-full via email. It wasnt pretty. |
