This post is me being nosey. I was showing my wife eejits thread about winning 65k staking only $3 originally, and she asked me what I would do if it was me.

So I would withdraw 60k this equates to a years salary 32 thousand pounds, I would put 5k in my daughters uni fund, give my son 5k, spend 10k on the house for improvements and bits,,and spend 12k on two holidays next year, one to America and one in Austraillia.

my 5k, I would still keep playing tournies.

So mainly directed at us small stake players, what would you do, would you leave more in, would you start playing cash games, would or have you started playing with more convidence only to find your losing or winning more, its a goal for us all to win a nice amount, but if we do, do we actually do something with it.

My thoughts would be similar.

I'd keep somewhere between $1-5K as my bankroll online. Then the majority of what I withdraw will go to making a lump payment on my mortgage. The rest would be be buy something big for each of us (Rob, Alex and myself). I'm not sure what yet, but I'm sure we could come up with something.

I don't think I would even move up limits too much. I have no desire (and likely I don't have the skill either) to play $5/10 like some of you highrollers here.

At this point in my game, I would most likely do something responsible with it similar to Nikki's post above. There would most definitely be a trip to Vegas in there though.

However, if I felt my game had progressed to a level where I was confident that I am more of a winning player than a losing player by a decent margin, I would take $10K, set it aside in a completely separate savings account. Then I would take $10K for my online bankroll, quit my job, and give it a go as my main job. Obviously the savings account money would be the "emergency" fund if I end up having a month where I unfortunately don't make enough to cover the bills. Doing this, I would then make weekly or bi-weekly withdrawls of my winnings to cover the bills and invest - leaving my roll at $10K max each couple weeks.

My only dilemna with playing poker as my main source of income is which method to use - play to reach a certain $ amount each day or play for x hours each day. I think it would actually be a combination of the two - I probably wouldn't play for more than 6 or 7 hours each day normally and if I'm having a particularily bad day for cards, I may knock off early so I'm not chasing the loss. I'm not sure what I'd do if I were having a great day though. There's arguments for both - keep playing or stop once you've reached a certain level - say $1 or $2K up.

For me to be able to "make a living" playing poker, I would only need to net about $100US/day for it to equal my current wages.

So anyway, that's what I would do if I won something like $65K. Right now, pay off some debts, buy a couple toys and head to Vegas for a vacation. Oh yeah, there'd probably be an official wedding type thing whilst in Vegas. The Luxor facility looks rather nice for gettin' hitched in.

In the future, use it to take a stab at playing for a living. (Debts would still get paid off though and the wedding in Vegas would still take place)

My max neteller balance is £25,000 so i had to do it in 2 bits. Cashed out £25k from para, withdrew it. Paid of the 10% staker in full. Left approx $10k online for stuff, then withdrew $2k last night apparently accordning to my thing, i was drunk , its my birthday, so maybe its a good idea!!!
