Planning to play in 2005 WSOP????
Are you planning to play ing the 2005 WSOP??
If so, what events, dates, etc.? I probably will not this year, but I am interested to see what events will be held in Atlantic City (as seen on another thread) this year leading up to it. |

I have to qualify first, but all of my attention will be focused on qualifying for it..... They are expecting 5000+ and I would really like to be one of them.

Yes, in the remote possibility that I win a qualifier ... but I'm sure everyone thinks as I do.

I'll be playing. I'll only do the main event if I win a satellite or if I find a backer, but I will do some of the smaller tourneys.... maybe some of their earlier NL events, but if I don't do the main event, I'll definitely play in the two $1k evens they have going on lte in the week (as I did this year).

Oh so pokerstars runs the WPT and you have to play pokerstars to play events. Thats news to me!

I definitely plan on playing in a couple of the minor (buy in $1000-$2000) WSOP events a couple of years down the road.. how do you go about registering, and can anyone just plop down a couple G's to enter the tourney or do you have to have some sort of qualification?

Show up with money, stand in line, and you're in.

And that's exactly how it should be.
I don't like the idea of having a "pros only" championship. The allure of these big money events is the idea that any Joe Blow can show up and take the title. CF |
